Axis

Visual Identity · 2026

A visual language for a platform that never stays the same shape.

Axis publishes essays, hosts talks and runs a residency programme for young artists. Each format had grown its own look. The team asked for one identity that could cover a podcast cover, a gallery wall and a printed reader without becoming generic.

Challenge

Three formats, three audiences and a very small team. Whatever we made had to be produced in-house, often on the same day an event was confirmed.

Approach

We built the identity around a single rotating axis line that changes angle for each programme strand, a condensed typeface for headlines and a strict two-colour rule per season.

Result

Axis now produces every poster, cover and slide in-house. The rotating line became the platform’s signature, and audiences use it to tell the strands apart.
